Cave-Aya and Raikibatero the Lightning Pig

Just me goofing off! With the few characters I came up with, I wanted another; that, and I thought drawing Aya as a cave girl riding a prehistoric animal would be fun! I literally wanted to have her riding an unorthodox prehistoric animal (T- Rex, pterodactyls, saber-tooth cats, and wooly mammoths have all been done). So then I thought, "what about Daeodons?" The precursors to pigs? If you've ever researched wild boar and warthogs, you know they are animals with leagues of dangerous BADASSERY! You don't mess with those animals. Okay, now imagine a wild boar about the size of a mini-van! Daeodons!

I referenced the boars from Princess Mononoke, which are pretty much Daeodons (I defy you to search them and compare the two and say they are different!). The pig's name "Raikibatero" was given to me by one of my best friends. I liked it so much that it stuck!

In retrospect, The "dog-like" appearance of the pig and Aya's bone hair piece makes this look like something out of The Flintstones...heh!
